THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT DEGREE TYPES:

• Associate’s Degree (2 Years)

• Bachelor’s Degree (4 Years)

• Master’s Degree (1-2 Years AFTER getting a Bachelor’s Degree)

• Doctoral Degree (Approx. 4 Years AFTER getting a Bachelor’s Degree)

Every occupation that requires a college diploma has different entry level requirements. When you have a career decided, you can research to see the minimum requirements for working in that career field. Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degrees are considered Undergraduate Degrees, whereas Master’s and Doctorate Degrees are considered Graduate Degrees.

Students entering college after high school take one of two pathways. They either work towards obtaining their Associate’s Degree at a 2-year college or go straight into a four-year program. Students who complete an Associate’s Degree can then choose to enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year college.
